Lois D. Carlson
Lois D. Carlson was born in Muskegon, Michigan. At age two her parents moved west where she spent most of her growing up years in Colorado and Wyoming. Her love of the sea and aversion to snow and cold weather drew her to California thirty years ago, where she continues to reside with her two adorable cats, Teeger and Jitters.
Having spent many years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, providing counseling in health care and private practice, she now works on a part-time basis in this field, devoting more of her time to writing. Earlier in her school years, writing papers was drudgery, but now expressing her creativity in a new realm brings her great delight. She published her first book SHADOWS OF THE PAST a few years ago, and her second book STREET LADY is now being published and will be distributed this summer.
In addition to her novels, she has published articles in War Cry, Mature Years, and La Verne Community News. She is a member of the Audubon Society and is actively developing her interest in bird watching. An animal lover, she is also a strong supporter of the Humane Society.
